A 12-year-old boy with special needs is in hospital after plunging 30ft from a theme park ride. The unnamed child fell from the Excalibur 2 ride at the Camelot Theme Park in Chorley. The incident occurred at 1pm yesterday and the boy was airlifted to Wigan Royal Infirmary.

Interesting looking ride..never saw it before. Kind of a hybrid of an Enterprise, UFO, and MaxAir. I'd ride it, no doubt.

^Mike, I think that's the same ride that SF moved from GAdv, where it ran *occasionally* as Evolution, to the St Louis park (where it's now named Excalibur).
It didn't look like GA's to me, but that's probably because I never saw that one in motion...:(

^I said "occasionally". ;)For the record, I never got to ride Jump or Evolution at GAdv. Finally got Evolution at SFStL - eventually got on a Jump at Puyallup (and Jump2 at Canada's Wonderful-Land).
I've been trying to find a pic of a Jump. Can anyone help?

Honestly anyone who actually got to ride Jumpin Jack Flash at SFGAdv should get a trophy or medal because it was closed far more often than it was ever open. That goes for the majority of the "War on Lines" flats that were installed in 1999.
I'm sheriff of this here rollercoaster.
I rode Jumpin' Flash at SFGAdv. It was the best flat ride I have ever rode.
It was also the only new flat ride open for the day, during the war on lines debacle.

I got a ride on Jumpin Jack Flash, I thought the ride was really cool. Line was too long for Evolution, but I got to ride it in St. Louis, and thought it looked a lot better than it rode.
Only gas powered coaster? What about all those carnival coasters (and the Strickers wood coasters) that run off generators.
