When does Markey's term end?

I really don't liek this Markey guy, I think he is jsut pressing for ride safety so he can say he did something. What I would like to know is who elected this bone head and when his term is ending. If he gets re-elected, we should all cross our fingers that he doesnt keep going after coasters. Hopefully when he is campaining dring 2002, he won't have time to bash amusement parks.

He's in the US House of Representatives, which means he should be up for re-election for yet another 2-year term again in 2002.

I heard he's going to ride one of those fearsome killing-machines (coasters) and make a human sacrifice to prove his point. So technically won't his term end after that?

I wouldn't worry about Markey imposing any laws about coasters..You have to remember..there are a few major-ly giant theme park companies: SF,CF,Paramount which is owned by VIACOM, one of the biggest corporations around...so yes, if he decides to impose any laws, these multi-billion dollar companies will hire top rate attorneys and defeat Markey in court for invading People's pursuit of happiness, which if you recall, is in our constitutuion..so don't worry!

There is something in there about securing the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity, but I don't recall anything about the pursuit of happiness...

So, what you people are saying is that you wouldn't vote for this man just be because he is for federal regulation of amusement park rides? You would vote against him just on that one topic, even if you agreed with his policies on everything else?

I don't know anything about the man, but seriously, guys, the amusement park thing is only one issue.
