Maintaining sanity while waiting in long lines

How do you keep it together while waiting in long lines. Do you play games,people watch,etc. Most importantly how do you keep cool on hot days while waiting?

I can be a really deep deep thinker so sometimes in line I will just stand and think about everything. Like sometimes I will look at a person and the first appearence I get I will think how their life is and stuff like that and just completely evaluate the person. Other times I will just talk to friends in line.

Well in line we don't keep cool, cause we dance;) My girlfriend and I were extremly board while in line for FoF. I know her dance from watching it so much so we entertain our friends in line by dancing. Let me tell you, I bet none of you have seen a guy do a Ricki Martain dance better than me! Other than that we "Cuddle". If I am buy myself I eat candy.

If we run out of stuff to talk about, my friends and I usually people watch. And a SFGAdv. their is always a unique bunch of people to watch.

Eat food, watch other rides, play music in my mind. Tell ops to "get off the silver que rail".
Talk with friends. Usally lines with a wait over 30 minutes at CP have music playing.

Sometimes I will give a 40 minute lecture on the parks history. Dissertations on the history of coasters, coaster designers, and other things that my friends don't care about. Tell other people about coasters no one has heard of that were built 100 years ago and destroyed 90 years ago. Trying to convince people that Gemini is a steel coaster.

I usally talk, think, stare at people, and watch things. Or sometimes I amaze my "GP" friends with information about the coasters. :)

I usually check out the hoochies :).

When I'm with other people, we either talk, eat, or the person(s) I'm with have to hear me ramble on about the coaster we're in line for :).

Yup I like blabing about coasters for a long time to the people around me and to my friends. We're all ACE members so we usually keep ourselves busy with coaster info and info about that park and competing parks. Also, look for hot chicks and also talk to new people some which are hot chicks lol.

I first usually look for hot girls, but if there aren't any then it's fun to punch your friends and get in a fight(getting in a fight or argument really passes time).

Hmmm... Sometimes I stare at the ride waiting and waiting. I love to see the expressions on some new riders' faces when they're about to get on. Listen to the screams, hehe... But if I'm by myself, I talk to other people in line and find out where they are from. Make new friends :) If I'm with a friend, we talk, play around and talk to other people.

Well, the first time I rode MF it was a two hour wait, so I and some friends played with my handy-dandy walkie-talkie. We once talked to someone and listened to him scream as he rode Magnum. It's great and is also a great way to meet people. We also find it useful to get line times for the rides.

At SFStL recently, I was reading a book on my Palm Pilot/Phone. But usually, I just people watch, or babble about coaster facts to anyone who'll listen.

my dad and i bring a pack of cards and we play war while waiting in line. it keeps us occupied and some people like to watch us play. the time flies by when you do this. 2.5 hours for MF felt like 1 hour while playing. now that we have a digital camera we will most likely take pics while waiting in line or check old pics to make sure they r good if bad delete them. and you could just talk if you feel like it and listen to other people talk its more fun.

Game BOY !!!! Nintendos most successful game machine. you can even network with other people in line with you . it makes the hours pass waitin for MF. ANd is small enough to fit in a fannypak.
I can hardly wait for gameboy advance.

I contemplate ripping out belly button rings.
