Other than financial constraints (and I guess I'd have to add personal security contraints with regard to a handful of places) - there's almost no place I wouldn't want to at least visit....and not much reason to ever stay home, LOL.

Meh, I find more than enough in this country to keep me interested, and for a lot less than what travel abroad costs. Not that my menial American job would ever allow enough vacation time for that sort of thing to be a reality.

Well we ended up picking to go to Seattle and Vancouver as we got a heck of a flight price that we couldn't pass up.

Looks like I will be at the Pullayp Fair and then off to PNE to ride Coaster (or as Nasai calls it God).

But at a cost of driving six hours out of your way (in each direction)? I live here and haven't been able to bring myself to go out there!

The drive to Silverwood is worth it for the scenery alone. And the woodies are top notch.

Hopefully God will be dishing out the goods for ya. Last time Nasai and I were up there, He was unusually slow and tame.

Did you drive through a different part of Eastern Washington than I did? Once you get east of the Columbia River, it's the most boring scenery not in Iowa. Don't get me wrong, the Cascades and the area around Coeur D'Alene are lovely, but as a percentage of the trip, half of it is mind numbingly boring.

I don't know. Moosh was driving. Maybe I was having too much fun chatting with everyone during the boring parts, but I remember spending a lot of time looking at the mountains and pine trees. And considering the person who started this thread is from Iowa, I think he'll be fine. ;)

Boring? Try LA to the Bay Area. I sometimes go out of my way to drive back roads even though it takes longer.

Especially when pieces of the PCH are falling into the ocean...

Ok another question for anyone who was went to PNE with children:

There is a ticket that is $12.95 called a one day guardian pass to where you can get 2 adult tickets for 1 day per child under 12.

Since my daughter would be 19 months old when we go, she is free but does anyone know if my wife and I could still purchase the 13 dollar tickets and get into the park?
