South Whitehall planners unanimously recommended allowing Dorney Park to go forward with its plans for a new roller-coaster in 2012. Park spokesman Chuck Hutchison said the ride is similar to Invertigo, a roller-coaster that's leaving Cedar Fair's Great America park this year after problems in 2009.

"...and it's no 300-foot-tall Steel Force"
I didn't know one of my home parks had a giga coaster
"The ride won't cause the numbers to spike, he repeated."
Then why add the ride? It seems like a waste of money to move the ride and refurbish it if it isn't going to increase attendance that much.
"...park representatives said noise will be nothing in comparison to the nearby Steel Force"
Steel Force isn't that noisy, especially when Voodoo is probably the loudest coaster in the park and will be right near Invertigo.
Even though I knew it was very likely the coaster was coming to the park, I was still hoping they wouldn't go through with it, like how they decided not to send Demon Drop to Knott's.
Yeah, I can't understand why they added Possessed, since they had Talon. Or why they added Hercules when they had Thunderhawk. Or why they added Hydra when they had Laser. I mean, more than one coaster with similar seats? Crazy!

No, Talon, um...don't [sic] go backwards (I don't know of a full up [sic] inverted that does), but I think it makes less sense to add an inverted shuttle to a park that has an inverted shuttle.Expecially [sic].
