Universal said it drew 11.2 million visitors in 2010, an increase of nearly 2 million from 2009. Annual revenue leapt 41 percent to $1.1 billion. Operating profit soared 79 percent to $267 million.

Revenue up 40%? Holy Hogwarts! And, if my math is right, that's an extra $117M in profit this year vs. last---with only about a half-year's worth of operation. Given that the whole investment was something in the mid-$200M range, they have to be feeling pretty good about things.
I was just there on Tuesday, and for being a weekday in the off-peak season, it sure seemed busy. Potter-land seemed really well done, and they had consistently had a long line of people waiting to buy $30 plastic wands, so that's got to be good for business. My only complaint (other than the Potter area being too crowded) was that Forbidden Journey was busted every time I tried to get in line.
