Hey look at Viper on this list,
http://www.rcdb.com/result.htm?page=2&column=1,10,3,4,5&order=1,2&contact=22 It says it is SBNO, and should be removed at the end of the season. Is this true? Did anyone hear this? Why? I was just looking around and saw that. Thanks in advance.

Thats interesting. I have seen NO good reviews of this ride. Land that could be used for a better ride......

Ride is falling apart. Another wonderful togo. Didnt they learn from the first one. What a shame we could have had a Deja Vu, if that thing died sooner.

I have read that it isn't going to be removed.I'm not busting chops but in that link where did you read that it would be removed at the end of the season??I must have missed it.SBNO means.. Standing But Not Operating.I heard that Viper will be up and running by the end of the month and this is coming from someone who is claiming they are going to be it's ride op.Whatever happens, happens, i guess.I would rather them keep it standing and add another ride only because it still does draw a line from the GP and that makes other lines a little less longer.

I heard somewhere they might take it down and clear it for a flying coaster, but its not confirmed. Shame though, the only flaw of that ride was cushion-less restraints.

There are two SFGA's and both have Vipers. You have to use SFGAdv for Six Flags Great Adventure and SFGAm for Six Flags Great America. You really scared me for a minute.

Well he says "I'm told", but doesn't say told by whom, so I think we can keep this in the "rumor" file for a while.
What i do *KNOW* about the ride is that at the begininng of this season, SFGAdv had planned on Viper running throughout the season. How do I KNOW this? Well on the flyer for CoasterCelebration 2001, Viper is listed as one of the coasters that is scheduled for some ERT.
on an unrelated note Rickyswmn here are PKD & SFA food prices:
PKD: burger 3.50, fries 2.50, med soda 2.40
SFA: burger combo 7.50
the prices are approximate (I forgot to actually write down the prices, but these are close)

I didn't panic, but I did think that he was refering to SFGAm. I was just gonna ask "where is the proof? It's practically brand new!"
But with it being SFGAdv, I could care less!

O.K. I made the park name change to protect one of the best woodies out there. We wouldnt want to scare people into thinking that Viper at SFGAm was being removed. That would scare me alone.

I asked at Guest Services why the ride was closed and they said that the Viper was not one of the more popular rides, and since it was not peak season they did not have the staff to operate it.
However, they said the same thing about Robin on the Chiller, but a ride operator told me the ride was closed because the train was having the OTSR removed!
