I used to explore abandoned amusement parks in the New England area, but I would kill to go down to SFNO. Great job with the film. I would have climbed all over some of those coasters. How tight is the security/did you get an escorted visit? There seems to be a lot of graffiti for a place that would supposedly be locked down.
Why would an abandoned amusement park that was build about a decade ago be an interesting place for a paranormal investigation? It really doesn't have any history.
I like this video so much, I even posted it on my Facebook. I love the music.

No matter what you believe in, my group has found that spirits - and collections of energy often congregate where there were lots of physical energy and high levels of emotion emitted in past time - we call this residual.
It is not an exact science but often when the activity that was once there is silenced, the energy often remains and can attract residual as well as active spirits to it.
Sometimes you find things, other times you don't... but as this location has remained fairly dormant, it would have been an ideal spot to investigate given it's past and caliber for energy activity.

Everyone else calls it a load of crap. :)

But do you think that it's hauntingly beautiful because it looks beautiful and it haunts you after viewing it, or because it makes the park look like it is haunted by ghosts?
I think that the video is it hauntingly beautiful as well. I love the camera movements. I love that the filmmaker looked for any action shots in what is a very still and quiet place. I love the creepyness that an abandoned amusement park has to offer. The fact that it seems that at one time it was a well-visited place, and that it was probably busy and noisy with the sounds of screams on the rides, crying babies in strollers, teenagers acting the way that they do when in the company of their peers...
A park without people in it is kind of creepy without the overgrown weeds and dilapidated structures. Something's amiss. We know the story with this park, why it is empty, but it's still very unsettling. I think that this awesome video conveyed that unsettling feeling very well.

Weird, nothing on the photographer's site either. It was very, very well linked and embedded all over the place.

A little of both. Just the sense of what used to be there, plus the music.
