Legoland officials offered a small, sneak preview of the park, though much of the space remains a construction site. Improvements thus far include a new restaurant and many Lego blocks.

On the official website's park map it looks like they're keeping the Jr. Wooden coaster. I didn't realize they were keeping that, which is good news.

I'd love the lifetime pass - if any of my coaster loving friends would like to donate to the cause ;-) You can all be my friend!!!

^LOL Jerry!

Seriously, those prices seem high to me - even the "discounted" tickets seem high. Don't recall LegoLand CA being anything exceptional...but we did get some sort of a deal on those I think....Tina?

I'm not sure how much I paid to get into Legoland California. I got my ticket as part of the city pass. $269 for a 3 Day park Hopper to Disney, 1 day at Sea World, 1 day at Universal and 1 day at the Sandiego Zoo.

That being said, the prices seem to be in line with California's pricing. Similar to the former Hard Rock Park, if you go to the park for the rides alone, you will probably be disappointed.

Gator. Those prices are probably "test the waters". If attendance isn't where they want it, prices will probably drop.

I never understood how a park that is geared toward children charges a higher amount for adult admission. The grownups should be getting in for cheap.

Tekward: Yeah, the park mentioned it in a PR release that they were keeping the Triple Hurricane. I believe they said it would get a paintjob and a new name themed to a dinosaur.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

Am I the only one who cannot open the park map? I'm getting excited about the opening of this park. I'm surprised I haven't seen any billboards on I-4 yet.

Looks to be in line with CA's prices:

Legoland 1-day: $67/$57, before discounts.

Come to think of it, Tina and I did get some sort of deal - friend had a website where we got them for (IIRC) about $35-40. Also, that was *about* six or seven years ago, so...dollars then, dollars now - maybe I just saw the $75 "regular adult" ticket price and suffered some sitcker shock.

Clearly I need a better job...LOL! :)

Do the prices just seem high because many of us are used to Cedar Fair prices be too low? There have been discussions in other threads on CBuzz that perhaps CF single-day and season passes are prices too low when you consider the value you're getting.

Cedar Fair makes up for it in the in-park prices, though. A decent price to get in, but if you want a Pepsi, Holy Lord!

Park map isn't opening for me either, Delan. I'm using Firefox in OSX.

Those prices sound just about right when comparing other parks in the area, but when comparing Central Florida park admission prices to other park prices around the country, it seems like highway robbery.

Seems like a decent price on their annual passes, though.

I hope for the best... but this park is really in between nothing and nowhere.

^^And that's probably exactly right. Locals can get a pretty decent deal to pop in and out over the course of a year. Tourists get soaked for their one-day see-it-all visit.

It will be interesting to see if the location pans out, though.
