SeaWorld Orlando's newest addition — a 7-foot-long, 350-pound baby killer whale — is in good physical shape and showing signs of strength hours after its birth, the theme park says. Katina, a 34-year-old female, gave birth to her seventh calf Saturday night at 7:28 p.m.

Good news for Sea World after the rash of recent orca deaths. Bad news is, the idiot comments have already begun...on both sides.
Poor Katina's a breeding machine. Both she and this calf will die young, just like Kalina earlier this week. Set them all free ChlorineTank World!
Glass half-full kinda person, I see.
Calling Katina a breeding machine is very derogatory toward her.
Yes, because the whale would be upset to hear that.
[cont']...This new baby is a ray of sunshine for Sea World
*yack*
So let's see...
These animals never miss a meal, are guaranteed to get laid, are safe from predators (humans and... does anything eat orcas?), will never get hit by a boat prop, can't accidentally beach themselves and never have to worry about water quality.
Poor bastards, indeed.

Prisoners aren't guaranteed to get laid, and are definitely at risk of other predators.Seriously, you may not agree with animals in captivity, but don't compare them to prisoners. I'd much rather be in captivity than be imprisioned.
Does that include getting abducted, waking up naked in an alien space craft with something probing your nether regions?
