Holiday World and Splashin' Safari announce 2011 improvements on YouTube

Pat and Dan Koch appear in a YouTube video (below) announcing improvements to Holiday World and Splashin' Safari for next year. The park will restore a local landmark, install an indoor, air-conditioned addition to Plymouth Rock Cafe, put in a new kids' ride and a complex of family water slides.

Why not just have slop ladled directly into your cupped hands and slurp the food right from there? ;)

The video mentioned that Holiday world bought the land that the statue is on . So it appears the statue will stay. It will simply get a major overhaul.

Looks like a lot of great additions.

Pat Koch looks amazing for 79. I also would have guessed she was in her early 60s. I can't help but wonder if making all those people happy for decades has helped keep her looking so young.

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

To be fair, he got that idea in line for the gravy buffet, so it's not entirely original.

Yeah and she doesn't let it slow her down at all. She's always walking around and greeting and talking to folks there. She's an amazing woman and I have a feeling she will be around until she's 100 at least

Regarding the statue ... we are going to have it restored, but haven't decided yet if it will be moved. We've got some really cool photos from back in the '30s when it was dedicated. Little Patty Yellig is in some of them. :)
