You could always throw a RoboCoaster on a dark ride track, and get the same effect.A robocoaster / dark ride?? Well thats a ridiculous idea ;)
Well, technically, you couldn't always throw a RoboCoaster on a dark ride track, because only Universal could do that ;).
But the point remains, Why would someone buy this coaster, which seems expensive, and would likely need lots of theming in order to 'work' right, when there are other alternatives.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
I think the ride would function fine as a coaster without any theme. There could be a lot of head choppers and near miss collisions with steel support columns. But I agree that it would work better with an immersive theme and storyline.
Is there any other movements or scenarios you would like to see simulated with my CAD model?
Check out my latest video of the cantilevered roller coaster concept model. All the supports, cross-ties, and footers have been added to the main track section. Also shows my first attempt at banking the lower track, which turned out looking like crap but it worked.
I wouldn't buy one for my park. The only way these would sell is if Intamin sold them to Cedar Fair.
