This video was sent to me by one of my friends over facebook; it features the most excitable roller coaster rider of all time;

He's very good at holding in his smile

Too creepy; couldn't watch the whole thing.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

I couldn't help but think of a scene in the third Austin Powers film when watching that.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

-1 to the ride operators for allowing that. If that thing got airborne, I would've been pissed.

I am guessing he does not agree with the no camera rule so he chose to break the rule.

Wow - complete failure of the ride ops. How could they miss that?

As far as the video goes I am not sure what the big deal is. What is so hard about having no expression on a ride?

That's pretty much what I was thinking too.

And you could tell he forced himself not to smile at points. I could do better :).

As far as items getting loose...Dawn Marie, her hubby, and myself were on Goliath in march, in the back, and some teen girl had her cell in her hand, and on the last 3 bunny hops, it came out of her hand at the top of the first hop, and traveled in the air with the coaster over three bunny hills, hitting her friends in the head and hands, then someone grabbed it just before the turn. Funny to watch, but I would have been really angry if I'd gotten hit.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

I'm not that surprised he got away with the camera out during the dispatch. I can think of 3 times this season so far at Great Adventure where they dispatched a train with someone having a cell phone or camera out.

When I read the title to this thread, I assumed it was the title of a Gonchar autobiography.... ;)

^ I did too. Or I should say, I was wondering why someone created a separate thread to talk about Gonch. :)

What a depressing video. That man needs a friend to ride with him, and a hug. That's what happens if you ride too many coasters, alone, over and over. :)

Hasn't happened to me yet. I may not be a noisemaker on coasters, but I almost always smile. Well, except on Dark Knight.

The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

It still amazes me how people treat their electronic gadgets. There is no way in hell I would be able to hold onto my camera or cell on a ride like that, and I wouldn't want to! The last thing I want to worry about is my expensive camera or cell flying out of my hand and hurting someone else.

Nothing annoys me more than people talking on their cells during a ride, or even right after they are strapped in and waiting for the ride to dispatch. Is your phone call so important that it can't wait a few minutes? Do you REALLY want to risk your expensive Iphone like that? Do you really want to risk losing your camera? Why are some ride ops still oblivious to this including the ride ops on this ride?

Most amateur POV's look like s*** anyway, at least the ones I have seen on YouTube or whatever. I leave the POV's up to the professionals that know what they are doing and have permission to do it in the first place.
