Would anyone know that ?

I would say atleast 100 million? Maybe someone could give another estimate. (this includes new rides/coasters and a staff and themeing and food and all that.)

Georgia Scorcher...OH yeah it's fire baby!!!
I am pretty sure the new Universal Studios Islands of Adventure cost nearly 2 billion dollars. That is 3 B&M coasters, various other rides, and themeing. A brand new park is not cheap at all.
VisionLand cost $65million.

I'm not sure, but I think Jazzland cost nearly 110 million.
Islands of Adventure is also very very high-tech... that's going to the extreme.

I would estimate about a few hundred million to build all the land, the theming, attractions, landscaping, and rides.

This would be for about 100 acres on average, starting with a decent ride & coaster count.

If you are just starting off... a park can be pretty cheap. Find a cheap but spacy location that's easily accessable, and get the land for about $3000 per acre x 100. Buy about 10 + used rides for around $100,000 to $500,000, and a couple feature rides for a few million each, and you can start a half-way decent park for under 50 million which isn't bad since some lotto's have jackpots for more than that amount!!! :)

It doesn't cost as much as people think it does to start a park. The only reason universal studios and IOA cost so much is because a ridiculus amount of themeing and also the location they built the park.

Gosh people can't you take a joke. Just laugh and get on with life.
What about something with a clone of Oblivion only 110ft,A Pinfari Inverted,a Lim coaster, and a used double looper, and about 16 other ride from Chance Rides,And Zamperla, an S&S power Tower, and about 200 to 300 acres to include expansion ?

And what about an entire space themed to the park,
What do you think of that ? or do you have any Ideas for themeing ?
yeah, the theme could be never never land 'cause it ain't never never gonna happen. unless you've got millions of dollars to spare or can sucker people into giving you their money really easily. in either case I'd have to ask you to start sharing the wealth around here.

this park is not copless so please don't go topless
Hey! I can dream can I ?
That's what Roller Coaster Tycoon is for!

-Matt, who says your park should have a B&M invert, a good woodie, a Intamin hyper, and TA2K.
Islands of Adventure cost a billion dollars. It said that on the Secret World of Amusement Parks. *** This post was edited by BGTKing on 6/13/2001. ***
I would think the insurance they have to carry would a real killer, cost-wise!
Dag coasterjedi...way to kill a guy's dream. It can happen. Play lottery, buy stock, pray every day!!
A real park always is homegrown like CP and KW, not a mega-corporate greed park like Disney or IOA. The best parks are very old with humble beginings.
Buy 500 acres of semi- wooded land. Start with a go cart track, and minigolf with lots of walking nature paths and riding paths. During Halloween, have a huanted house. That is how to start a real park in todays time. But that would still cost one million dollars.
You can buy park stock and say you own a park.

ZEPPELIN RULES
when building, build in the rural ares of town so there will hopefully be open land to buy for later expansion.
Actually...

You want a really cheap park???

Simple...

A) Buy the land yourself.

B) Whore yourself out to all sponsors, and name every ride, every attraction after a particular product or service.

C) Watch profit come in... along with a lot of criticism!!

ie: The Taco Bell Inverted Coaster or The Subway Silver Bullet...

Either way, you get sponsors, you get extra $$$. They probably pay big bucks for their name on rides!!!
