Lebron James heckled at Cedar Point for his shooting skills

Posted Wednesday, August 11, 2010 4:35 PM | Contributed by Jeff

NBA star Lebron James, hot off of his departure from Cleveland, took some time out from Miami to visit Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. While playing the basketball shooting game, guests shouted, "I bet you miss," and, "Shoot left-handed if your elbow hurts."

I was going to suggest Alabama, but I like your answer better.

For Kelsey Grammer, or would you like to fix that for the spelling police?

There's nothing worse than Kelsey Grammer stumbling towards you in the darkness, mumbling incoherently...

*shudder*

Are we now going to be subjected to a new TV genre-- the sports extravaganza show? Not only did LeBron take an hour to say what could have been said in 2.5 seconds, the "decision" was all that was talked about on every channel that entire week. Did nothing else happen in the world? Oh yeah, they were rioting in Greece, and the Dow Jones dropped 10%, but hey is the King going to Miami or New York or staying put in Cleveland?

The NCAA BB tournament picks program now lasts the better part of a day, with several days of predictions before and several days of whining after. And the Super Bowl pre game show starts right after Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve. I fear it may only get worse from here.

When did jordan become such a role model? When he was gambling millions a year, or was it when he was hooking up with more women than tiger?

At my office, I don't give a damn what someone does in their own time, so long as it doesn't impact their performance at work. Similarly, I don't care what an athlete does in their own time, so long as it doesn't impact their conduct in their next competition.

Well we hear you went to a park and have a life, so do you want to talk about that?

Who wouldn't have a huge ego when Cleveland put's a poster on the side of a building labeling Lebron as "The Chosen One". The announcement show had a 7.3 rating which is the the highest number for any non-NFL program on the network this year so obviously a lot of people cared and watched. He also raised 2.5 million for the boys and girls club that night. I first heard and saw about Lebron when he was 16, ESPN was already all over him. Maybe we are to blame for his out of control ego.

Uh, Nike put an ad on the side of the building that said, "We are all witnesses." That wasn't a tribute to him, he got paid for that.

We all make choices in life. You can only blame environment to a certain degree.

Considering the environment he grew up in (Silver Street in Akron), what with its crack houses and strawberries on the corners, it's a wonder he's not a heroin addict.

Why didn't he go to all those great Miami amusement parks for his entertainment? I thought Ohio sucked, Cleveland sucked, etc? Seems silly to stick around a place he doesn't want to be.

Mr. Stop the Ad Hominem Attacks on Me, I know it's not as interesting as talking about breakfast foods. But you really seem to have a problem with it, don't you? Sorry, I wasn't at a park that week, but I did do things that would constitute having a life. Shall I send you my schedule?

Hey man... if all you've got is editorial critique of the value and importance of discussion on a decidedly unimportant Web site, I'm just suggesting you find something else to do. Your'e not adding value.
