Holding You Hands Up On Millenium Force?

Did anyone ever do this? I did and it was awesome. You fly out just a little bit more whenever you hold up your hands. But it's just a new experience.

That is one freaky support, I don't think I've ever felt so close to something on a ride. First ride, I leaned to the left:) I saw it coming for me.......

According to some people on here you aren't allowed to hold your hands up on anything anymore.


But yes, the crazy thing about MF is that by the end of the ride, the entire train usually has its hands up.

Of course! Hands up whole way (except the first 2/3 of the lift, of course). Only way to ride, IMO.

I raised my hands all through millenium force. (after the 3rd time ) I hadn't heard that parks don't want you to do this...I ve been doing this for years on all kinds of coasters and alot of people do it as well ..

At first, I held on up the whole lift, and as we approached the top, my hands just lifted up. It was weird, I didn't want to put them up, but they just did. And I kept them up the whole ride. Best first drop ever!

When I was at CP 2 weeks ago they said, " Do not put your hands up," constantly in the station. Of course I did because thats the only way to experience MF. That one support on the right on the first turn is just scary, especially when leaning out of the side of the car.

Since I am the man that knows no fear, right from the top of the hill all the way to the brakes my hands were up since the first ride. They were up until my last and final ride. This is when I noticed something. Everyone leans forward. I leaned back against my seat, back straight up, and hands rested/relaxed on my legs. Wow, the Peter Tickler gets you more air than ever. Everyone needs to try this.

I apologize if I missed the prior discussion of this topic... why on earth does CP care whether or not you raise your hands on a ride?

I always put my hands up on coasters except one's with OTHR's, the Millenium Force is probably the best experience because of the restraints and how you feel very free and unrestricted.

I haven't had the honor of riding MF yet, but I'm pretty sure I've had my hands up on every coaster that I've been on. the thing I don't understand on Raging Bull is how you can keep your hands and arms inside the car when there is no car around you.

On my last visit to CP, I rose my hands up in the air in the station and I almost hit one of the ops in the face. They then said over the speaker, "Please do not put hands up during this ride."

When ride ops actually say to keep hands down it is just another way for the park to cover their A--. Most of us in here ride hands up whenever possible. You can just look at any coaster ride to figure that out. Why would MF be any different? Just 'cause it is taller? (I have not ridden it). ChristopherPeeper makes a good point. Try riding hands down on coasters you know and usually ride hands up on. You may be surprised at the results. I have been doing this since last summer and it makes for a different ride and is very enjoyable! Nothing seems to be taken away from the experience. I believe hands down changes your center of gravity. I did not say hold on, just hands down!

I held 'em up the entire ride, and it's quite a thrill. I didn't really notice myself coming close to any supports, despite the fact that I'm 6'4. The ride ops didn't tell us to keep our hands inside the train or anything either.
