Two Six Flags Great America employees were ejected from the Gurnee theme park Monday afternoon after allegedly attacking a female employee dressed as "Porky Pig."

No wonder Porky Pig has a speech impediment.

The thing that really surprised me in this article is that they have incidents of mascots getting beaten up one or two times every season!

Really?

Your life is that twisted that you go around beating the crap out of someone dressed up as a cartoon character?

I can see a four year old punching one of the "bad" characters like Taz or Yosemite Sam, but two adults? Come on...

Certain victory.

And as Porky was being taken away on a stretcher, his final words were: "That's all folks...."

There's a reason they are called "Looney Tunes". That being said, you've got to wonder if there is something else going on here, maybe some personal issues between employees, etc. What will be more interesting to see is if they become "ex" employees.

A recent update to the story states that Porky has just been taken out of "surgery" and the pig's condition is listed as being delicious.

As someone who dresses up (not in a mascot outfit) in an amusement park, I can assure you assaults are far too frequent. Although with this case being employee on employee, I'm betting there was some kind of personal thing going on.

One of these seasons I hope to hear about a costumed character fighting back and beating the snot out of their attacker. Papa Smurf shouts, "Whose your daddy now, punk?" (I envision a better word than "punk", but it will have to do...) ;)

Please do not give the mascots ideas. The next thing you know, they'll be staging a rebellion and taking over civilization. ;)

4 (fuzzy, foam filled) legs good, 2 legs bad?

^All mascots are created equal, but Porky and Petunia (and Miss Piggy and Piglet) are more equal.

*The jury is still out on Arnold Ziffle, Wilbur, Pumbaa (warthogs are pigs too, LOL), and of course, the trio of Snowball, Squealer, and Napoleon.

Ha, ha. Laugh it up, people. It won't seem so funny when Mr. Six is ordering flash executions.

Few parks in the UK have costume characters (or have them in significant quantities). I suspect this is because most of the UK parks don't have licensing agreements with the usual suspects you find across the US.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

I love how they included a picture of Porky in the article. But they should have used an "after" picture for more dramatic effect... black eye, bandaids across the forehead, bruised jowls, bloody snout.

Porky's short, and most short costumed character performers are female.
