GAdv has been my hometown park for my entire life. I must say, as far as lines go, your can't beat them on a weekday (provided everything is running). Usually, when schools start letting out it can get bad but usually no wait is over 1 hour on a weekday. Personally, I like to start in the corner with Nitro first (Front seat, left chair!). This is the only ride I have seen this year with a legitimate line. Get there early so you don't have to wait. Then you can move from there to Batman, Chiller, Evolution, Pendulum, etc. until you reach the middle. Then start back in the other corner by Medusa and GASM (only do GASM in the very front if you don't want a bad headache the entire day). Nitro seems to be the worst about 1-2 hours after the park opens and ditto for lunch and dinner time. As for places to stay, I'm not really sure. I don't think you are going to find anything much cheaper than 100 bucks a night near the park. I would check out
http://www.sixflagslodging.com for rates and locations. PS - You may want to accompany any young children in your party (if there are any of course) to the facilities inside the park. Although I really don't care other than getting pissed off, some of the items that are graphically shown on the stall walls are for an older set of eyes. I'm sure that this is the same all over the country but just in case.... Have fun and hopefully some day I'll get to CP.
