I would have to say Beast through the final helix. I didn't want to try, but it seems like I could reach out and touch the side of the tunnel along with the entrance to it.

Second would have to be MF's second tunnnel. Also if you sit on the right side of the train after the second over bank as you go under the 182ft. drop hill there is one beam the looks like it's going to rip the whole side of the train off.

Third would have to be the Gemini. I give Gemini this becuase I know for sure that I won't hit the supports.

Good headchoppers are the ones where it looks like you'll get half of your body ripped off.

Genini and Phantom's Revenge are the best. When I rode Phantom's Revenge for the first time in the front seat, I had to put my hands down because it looked a lot closer than I remembered form the old Steel Phantom

Ninja at SFStL has a great headchopper.

I'll say Phantom's Revenge. There are two headchoppers through the Thunderbolt that really get you. The Wildcat at Hershey is a close second.

Titan has the best headchopper effect I have seen going into the first helix.

You're right Kirby. I love Villian period, but I caught myself dropping my hands. I don't know what it is about a good coaster, you just can't help it.

Viper @ SFGAm - there's a headchopper on almost every drop. Especially in the back if you have a lose lapbar !

1)The Beast and Phantom tied. You can't go a single ride without ducking a little. The pin point you're going to drop into doesn't even seem to be big enough for the train. Only times I'm ever a little scared on any coaster.

2)Most surprising headchoppers go to Gemini. The only thing I like better than a surprising headchopper is surprising airtime. Can anyone say Thunder Run?

3)Best footchopper goes to Runaway Reptar and SLCs, hey Vekoma does good there ;)

If any of you have ridden the Scandia Screamer then you would all be singing of its praise. The head choppers, and there are many, are the best around. Why, because you can touch them if your stupid enough to try. There is a sign in the station that reads "Please keep your hands inside the train because you WILL lose them." I just rode it for the first time last week and it wins hands down. Before that I would say either Gemini or Ninja although that tunnel on Deparado made me pull my hands in.

If you have ever ridden Space Mountain with the lights on, you would have no doubt to say that is by far the best headchoppers.

The Ninja as SFStL has the best headchopper ever hands down (pun intended). It’s not track or structure you’re passing under, it’s the lift chain – it gives you the impression that something has gone wrong. This one is still scary even after riding the Ninja about a million times.

Reptar at PKI has very good footchoppers, especially as the train passes over the station – the lightning rods are a nice touch.

I would have to say the end of GASM at SFOG when you hit the brake. That or probably Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom in Orlando. Or, Viper at SFGAM.

Somebody did lose a hand on the American Eagle at SFGAM, other than that i would have to say the Viper, also at SFGAM. *** This post was edited by RagingBullGuy on 6/11/2001. ***

I'll go with Gemini. It catches you off guard every time. Its hilarious, all the hands come down at once when you hit it.

I agree, Gemini is a great coaster. It has all the elements that make it FUN, racing, handslapping, airtime hills, nice helix at the end, good 120 ft drop.
