Beech Bend won't open this weekend due to flooding

Thoughts go out to Dallas and Charlotte and the rest of the BB Crew.

At first I thought you were talking about the two cities, neither of which are flooded from what I understand.

The article says they won't be open, but their website says that the amusement park will be.

Beech Bend Park has postponed its opening day until Friday, May 7th due to severe weather and flooding. The amusement park will open and has not been significantly impacted by flooding. The racetracks and campground are flooded. All racing events are cancelled until at least May 13th. Please check back for more information as it becomes available.
The amusement park will be open on Friday, May 7th from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 8th from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Both days will feature the Band and Choral Festival, so join us for some special entertainment! The country concert on May 6th at the Reagan theater has been cancelled because the stage building is under water.

Hope this doesn't slam them too horribly. Didn't Bushkill almost close permanently because of flooding about four years ago?

Yes, floods killed Bushkill... but I believe that Beech Bend would be able to survive a bit more of a hit that Bushkill which was a relatively small park with a future that was questionable at best BEFORE the waters came.

Yeah, I noticed last season (while riding Shock Drop) that the amusement park is set up on a hill at least twenty feet above the racetracks.
