The mayor of Green Bay has been talking to Memphis city administrators and Steve Mulroy, head of Save Libertyland Inc., about the possibility of getting the Zippin Pippin for the Bay Beach Amusement Park, which is slated for expansion. Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt said he would be in Memphis on Sunday to inspect the vintage roller coaster.

Unfortunately, it's hard to say how well it would be received in this age of shrinking municipal (and state) budgets.

Bill, Legoland could easily tame Starliner to suit their "needs". The slamming bunny hop before the turnaround is probably too intense for its own good anyway. Only sickos like you and me would miss that moment. If they do any modifications, it would be nice if they could improve the second half to be at least half as good as the first half. Regardless, it seems silly to get rid of a marquee attraction there. It could only help the park's attendance.
As for Zippin Pippin already being partially demolished, most of the structure would likely be replaced regardless if it's moved and rebuilt.

^But remember, Lego people (reps, not people made of Legos, LOL) said in the local news down there that they were intending to keep ONE wooden coaster - I think that might have fueled the speculation re: Bay Beach as the destination for Starliner.
Could Starliner be tamed? Yes...and maybe Lego *would* keep two. But wow those slams were pretty awesome...Big Dipper-ish...agreed that we (AV & I) may not be "representative of a larger audience"....hehe... :)
