SFGAdv or SFNE?
I'm pretty sure I'll be going to one of them on Monday the 18th. I've never been to either. I originally was going to go to both on the same trip, but I'm leaving for a month later that week, and I really don't want to be gone an extra two nights. Don't tell me to do both...if I have time later in the summer, I'll go to the other one, but which one should I go to now? I REALLY want to ride S:ROS, but it seems that there are only 2 other coasters I've never ridden before (how many boomerangs and SLCs can you ride and consider them unique?). SFGAdv, on the other hand, has Nitro, Medusa, B:TR (never ridden any of them), GASM, and more. I'm pretty sure I'd like to go to SFGAdv more because they have more coasters, but S:ROS seems to be taunting me. Is there any real reason to go to SFNE over SFGAdv? I'll probably be buying a season pass at SFDL this weekend for $50, so price isn't an issue, and they're both the exact same distance from me.

SROS is the best coaster on the planet, but the others at SFNE basically have zero reridability (is that a word?). It is my home park, but I would rather go to SFGAdv. any day. Nitro is awesome, as is Medusa. I would recommend SFGAdv. You must ride in the front seat of Medusa. It's the only coaster I've ridden in the front that was worth the wait. You should make a point of hitting SFNE later just to ride SROS.
Jman: I have ridden S:ROS at SFNE and for me it is the best steel coaster of those I have been on. As you know, many others feel the same way.
I have not been to SFGadv yet, I will get there this August, so I cannot really compare.
Still, I say go to SFGAdv. Why? Because SFNE just won't cut it against the line-up of coasters at SFGadv. Compare them in the coasters/parks sections above. And Nitro? Gotta do that one, how can you not? I am practically drooling over it. I like the other coasters at SFNE, but from all I have heard and seen about SFGadv, I find myself wanting to go there more than SFNE, at least for this year. Then again, I will visit SFNE this summer/fall, more than once (I live in MA). But if I could only do one park, it would be the one in NJ.

Exactly the same as above, SROS is the best steel coaster on the planet, but you'll be more satisfied and have more to do at SFGAdv. At SFNE, you have SROS and Cyclone. At SFGAdv, you have Nitro, Medusa, BTR, The Chiller(maybe you'll catch Robin with lap bars?), Rolling Thunder(I hear it's rough, but has one of the coolest looking layouts), and quite a bit more.

Yes,it is rough but,for anyone who is going to give it a try for the first time this year,ride the left side if it is open.It has the most airtime and is definately smoother (although still rough) then the right side.There is also a good chance you can ride it with both sides racing this year.I have been to the park 8 times and 6 out of 8,by mid afternoon they had both trains running.

I have to agree with everyone else here. I have been to SFNE and SFGAdv and I recommend SFGAdv. SFNE has SROS which is my favorite coaster but their other coasters cannot compare to the variety at SFGAdv. I haven't been on Nitro yet and I probably won't get back there this year. I would definately go just for Nitro and Medusa.
