Could an impulse go in the place of ultra twister?

I was just looking at coastergallery.com and it looks like ultra twister wont be opening in a while and that got me thinking if they were going to take it out what could fit in its place?

Why wouldn't it be opening?

Yes I think one could go there becuase the layout is a straight line. I have never riden it, is it smooth?

Well, I've personally never been on it so i really cant say wether I want it to go or not. I don't really want to see it go because it's one-of-a-kind. But peopole who've been on it may have different opinions.

A very good question.....
The original Impulse coaster, Linear Gale, was designed to take the place of an Ultra Twister! Intamin designed it to take up the small strip of land the old Ultra Twister took up.

I've seen those Ultra Twister pics, I don't like how there are pieces of chain laying all over the place. I sincerely hope they get it back operating soon, especially since it is one of a kind on this continent.

I think that an Impulse could go practically anywhere! Its a straight line, all you really need is about 600 feet, if I am correct. That design could probably be shoe-horned into spots that Vekoma Boomerangs can't even fit!

The most difficult part of the installation would probably be designing a waiting area, since that would most likely take up more space than the ride itself.

Ultra Twister is operating now, and we definitely don't want to lose it, although I'm sure that an impulse would fit in its place quite nicely. We don't want to lose Greezed Lightnin' either, but I'm sure that an impulse would fit quite nicely in its place too. If we ever do lose one of these rides, I'm 99% certain that they'll be replaced with an impulse. Nothing else would make sense!
