I just heard on the news here in detroit, that 30 riders were stuck on the invertigo coaster at great america in california.
Anybody hear about this?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I'm watching it right now on CNN.com Live.... looks like they only just got started getting people off the ride.

Can't tell.
It looks like it may be on the lift. Hard to tell because of the shot that cnn has.
Here is the coaster...

The part I don't get though is, I've been keeping an eye on this for about 45 minutes now and they STILL haven't released the first row of riders. Exactly how many straps and such do they have to attach before they can release the restraints? At this rate, it's going to take them 10 hours just to get the whole train emptied.

I thought that the boomerang style coasters have a sled that pulls it up. That being said, whey can't they lower it manualy?

Yea, I saw that.
I think they do that to document things if it were to go to court. I have seen firemen do that before in other situations.
