Chi-Town, in Paramount's defense (since they have no representation here I'll play "devil's advocate), why should they keep the old themeing? I mean really, how does a "County Fair" setting meld with the Paramount brand name? Maybe if Paramount had a "Hollywood" section (it's in america aint it?) they would have maintained it, but those sections dont really fit into their master plan. That plan seems to be to theme everything towards the Paramount company. Six Flags, on the other hand, kept the original themeing because it fit with their master plan. Remember, at SFoT, SFStL, and SFoG the original plan was to have the regions mimic some real life areas, like Mexico, Texas, etc. The "America" themeing was very parallel to that idea, hence they kept it.

Now i personally dont like the idea of a "Movie" themed park (I really dont like the whole "DC Comics" movement either, though the rides are cool!). But since first and foremost they are a movie company, they have to use what they know/have. They are simply trying to put their own personality into the park. I can understand *why* they are doing it. But someone there needs to recognize that this is simply not working in their best interest!
