Diamondback a good investment?

King Cobra, Amazon Falls, Cafe Killimanjaro. I believe the section was called "Adventure Village". It just sort of tucked in behind Oktoberfest. Was there anything else back there? That was mostly "before my time"; I really didn't start visiting Kings Island until '91 or '92.

The Wild Animal Safari was back in the SOB area sponsored by National Geographic. The monorail went back into and beyond the Rosebowl of SOB. The Rhino and Elephant area was all the way up by the bowl of Flight of Fear. The monorail now resides in Fairfield ohio at Jungle Jims international market and provides a transport from the rear parking lot to their conference center.Chuck

Amazon - Congo, I guess it was just a generic jungle theme spanning multiple continents. According to Wiki, anacondas are found in both Africa and South America, but king cobras are in southeast Asia. A 1989 map shows there was a Congo Cooler and Congo Curio as well, and the area was named Wild Animal Habitat. I think it was renamed Adventure Village a year or two later.

I find it curious that after they rethemed the area, they changed the name of the ride from Amazon Falls to Congo Falls.

The change to Congo Falls was a Paramount thing. Here's why:

^That's funny, as much as I've been to the park, I never made the movie connection. I can't remember the last time I rode that thing.
