Muskegon area tourism officials listened Monday morning to Michigan State University academics predict the state's travel industry will see 4-5 percent declines in 2009. They also sat through a presentation that showed West Michigan held its own against the economic downturn the state experienced last year, according to Camille Jourden-Mark, head of the county's Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee and general manager of Michigan's Adventure Amusement Park.

Well, I'll definately be helping their numbers this year. Being in Lansing, we tend to alternate depending on the year between Michigan's Adventure and Cedar Point. This is a Mich. Adv. year. The sub thing in Muskegon sounds kinda cool too considering I have two boys that would be into that. We'll be certain to spend some time and money here this year.
