So BGE will be the first Park in the Mid Atlantic State region (specifically the Virginia Area) to be opening up with AP preview on the 21st of March, and boy was that a long 5 months for me. I know most people hover around the the Ohio region (at least according to Jeff's nifty map app), but I was curious if anyone is planning to be at BGE for the opening preview on the 22st OR official opening day the 28th of March?
Other parks of the Mid Atlantic region (not all inclusive list):
Carowinds - March 28th opening
Kings Dominion - April 4th opening
Six Flags America - April 4th opening
Six Flags Great Adventure - April 4th opening
Hershey Park - April 10th opening
Its my 20th anniversary of my continuous season pass BGE so Im definitely going to be there for pass preview, so I was curious if anyone else was planning.
If an opinion poll is allowed, for you seasonal jones-ers, what park are you dying to get into for this season?

I'm planning for Kings Island to be my first this year, but I might not make it to opening day, which is April 18.

My first park of the year is going to be Dollywood on April 1st/2nd. After that it will be Kings Island for their event or the week before (if I cant get off) and of course Ill be hitting opening day at CP on May 14th.
Thanks. I've been thinking about joining lately.

Just to clarify one thing-- Hershey is open for one weekend only, April 10-12 for their annual "Springtime in the Park" event. After that, they don't officially open for the season until May 8. If you show up in mid to late April, you'll be disappointed.
Assuming you showed up to enter the park, that is. Feel free to visit the parking lot all month long! ;)

^Dont forget Chocolate World, at least your trip wont be completely pointless....
True.
I'm pretty ready for Hershey to open. It's been a while since I've gotten this anxious for the season to start. But the past few months have been rough and I'm ready for Stormy to make it all better! :)

Word is that the resorts in the area are pretty nice, too---park or no park.

Unless the Bears are still playing, then they'll charge you for parking.
RGB... Thanks for the clarification.. But it still classifies as an Opening to a season (after being closed for a few months).. I figured we were all were smart enough to figure the rest of the schedule out. :)

Not if you explain you're going to the season pass office.

I'm hoping to get to Great Adventure opening weekend, if not I am going to go a few days after Easter since they are open during the week and I am hoping it will be empty (in 2007 it was walk ons all day, 2008 it was jammed).
I was also planning to go to Hershey on Easter Sunday because I hear no one goes that day but with both Storm Runner and Fahrenheit, plus Wild Mouse, Wildcat, LR and Roller Soaker closed that only leaves Comet, SDL, Great Bear, Trailblazer and Sidewinder running. I'm not so sure I want to go now since even if it is not that crowded, with so few coasters open lines could still be bad plus I was hoping to marathon Storm Runner and Fahrenheit because of the horrible waits they get in the summer. Plus I am worried operations will be bad. If they only run 2 trains on Fahrenheit with the single rider line closed and 1 train on SDL and Storm Runner on a Friday in August, what chance do I have of 2 train ops on anything on Easter?!
Sfog has been open the last few weekends as well.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I think the OP was referring specifically to parks in the mid-atlantic region,SFOG is in the southeastern region of the nation.
I plan on heading to KD on opening day to g et my season pass processed as well as to get some much needed laps on Dominator & hit up the two new for 09 attractions, which should both be operating by then.
I know this isn't a mid-atlantic park but I am still kind of shocked that SFGAm will be opening at the same time as the parks mentioned above (April 3rd).
Chicago weather is very dicey during this time.
My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.
