By midweek, the Manta safety tests would get under way after 3 p.m. Construction of Manta, an inverted flying roller coaster that incorporates an enormous aquarium in its queue at SeaWorld, is on track for its official opening May 22.

If they're testing mid March I would think that a soft opening could happen well before May 22nd.
^^Seems reasonable enough. But the A-B parks have a history of putting in the extra effort in theming and landscapgin prior to grand opening, as opposed to those parks that might run the RIDE when it's ready, and then worry about the "attraction" as time permits. I'd like to ride before May 22, but I sure wouldn't start holding my breath...
