OK, so Gonch already blogged about it, but it's funnier with my name. Jeff Putz year at Magic Kingdom.

That's a hell of a thing though. Pretty neat.
I am curious as to just how many names they recorded for the personalized line at the end that Goofy says.

There were probably a lot of names. The Orlando parks have the resources to have a character record a lot of names. Look at ET at Universal, where ET says the name of everyone on the ride. I suspect both Goofy and ET recorded a LOT of names.
No, ET is speaking names by way of comprooder, the way a Speak-n-Spell or any Mac would. In fact, I believe the people who give you your intergalactic passport or whatever are typing in your name phonetically.
You can generate spoken words today with gems like this from American Greetings. I doubt the names are pre-recorded.

Auto-complete in 1990... nice. I'm still convinced it's computer generated, because names like "Stephanie" don't sound at all natural.

The Disney site could do Keith, Anita and Elijah but not Kaylin or Taylor. I was a bit surprised about Taylor as I thought it was probably on the 'list' since it can be a boy or girl.
I showed it today when I gave out my Christmas gift to my great niece and she REALLY thought they changed the park for her. She's only 6 but her Grandmother thought it was real also and her only excuse is she's not to swift. I mean really gullible.
