The incident, which involved a 20 year old man, occurred just after 4:00 p.m. Saturday. According to the park, the man scaled at least one fence and entered a “visibly restricted area.”

Long time reader, first time poster. I saw this story and had to say this:
If you climb two fences to grab a hat that you were too stupid to lose in the first place on a coaster, you deserve to be hit by one.

On Monday I was at Darien Lake. I was in the second to last row on Predator going down the first drop (which has a delicious jolt of airtime) and I heard a guy behind me yell out that he lost his $30 hat. He kept complaining about it throughout the whole ride. I instantly thought of the Ninja incident and how people use poor judgement when they're at amusement parks.
