I for one can hardly wait for this. The videos, especially the teaser are very well done. Got to be VIP (aka: Badnitrus).
To be honest, I'm a tad disappointed. It looks like a fun ride, going for speed and changes of direction, but it sacrifices airtime. Looks like there are only two very small bunny hills. I guess I was expecting to be "wowed" with all the hype, and I wasn't. However, I will say this, this ride could really be special at night with that speed and not being able to sense the changes of direction.
Well who makes the hype?
Airtime on modern wood coasters by TGG and GCI tends to come in the places you don't expect it, not just on "normal" up and down hills. Besides, airtime is so 2000. :)

Yes compared to most GCII coasters this one will have or looks like it will have a some nice pops of air. This doesn't look much like their normal stuff, which is a good thing imo. This is a much more stretched out GCII twister, more like a twisted out and back. I'm trully hoping SFMM 2009 GCII coaster is similar to this one, but more of SFMM style Xtreme lol.
It tends to cost more to work Around the Trees. :) Plus location is a factor. Cost of labor in Southern Indiana is probably less than Kansas City.

Has anyone who thinks this ride is ho hum rode any of the current crop of woodies? This thing looks like Ravine Flyer II and Renegade with a bit of Thunderhead, Ozark Wildcat, and Kentucky Rumbler thrown in!
Each of these rides is absolutely amazing, Ravine Flyer and Renegade are probably my favorite roller coasters period as I don't rank coasters.
Believe me, anyone who lives in KC is VERY lucky. I would give you Millie, Dragster, heck I would give any and all roller coasters at CP aside from Magnum, Maverick, and Blue Streak for a ride like this.

It looks MUCH better than Renegade. As long as those hills dish out strong pops of air and not the "low gravity" feeling that most of Renegade's hills deliver, I think it will be fantastic. But even just being in the woods and snaking along the terrain, it will be a much more interesting ride IMO.

GCI taking lessons from gravity group?
I think it should be the other way around!
The trackwork, trains, and design of GCI coasters are much superior to TGG... In my opinion at last... The fact most of their rides don't need trackwork for years after they are built should mean something in terms of quality.
Can't say the same for TGG. They make amazing rides don't get me wrong, but as far as a quality product, GCI delivers.
Looks like an amazing ride all around. Impressive design and I just have a feeling there will be much more airtime then you guys are estimating. GCI throws in some crazy airtime pops into turns like no other!
