Cant they get anyone hotter to do these shows?
I saw that too... ;) I think she needs a little more support than what she had. (Especially during the positive Vertical G's)
It was almost like watching the coaster shows where the have the ball in a tube showing the effects of vertical G's on coasters.

I'd love to see celebrity coaster buffs host these shows. And they're out there, too. Mick Foley, David Arquette, and his wife (or ex-wife?), to name a few, are big coaster buffs. I'd love to see them riding MF or something.
If Britain gets Monica Lewinsky to do it, can't we at least get Mankind or the 1-800-CALL-ATT boy?

I've got mixed feelings about using celebrities. On one hand, it would be cool to see famous people that share our love of coasters. On the other hand, don't these people get enough screen time as is? Most of the people in the shows are never going to be famous, so why not let them enjoy a moment in the spotlight.
If they would do it with some dignity I wouldn't have a problem with it. But some of these people look like absolute freaks! Looking dishelved, acting all giddy and over excited, like a teenage boy watching Porky's. I've seen plenty of enthusiasts talking about coasters and getting excited (see this years SRM) but NONE of them just started babbling virtually incoherently. Those people, the more excitable of our 'little' community, make it seem as if all enthusiasts are really weird, freaky people. Not the insurance salesmen, engineers and marketing people we really are. I mean if you think you are going to be on TV, comb your hair, tighten up your beard and put on a friggin tee-shirt that actually fits for Pete's sake. It's for that reason I would rather see "professionals" riding than the people that were chosen last year. I hope they did a better job this year (I have yet to see the three shows from monday).

All i want is no more of those stupid screamy people. You just want to watch the ride when people are screamin like crazy and trying to explain the ride. Hot girls would be nice too. Very nice. And damn, anna Kornakova that would rule!

What I do mind is that the people generally selected for these shows act like nincompoops. STOP SCREAMING!!! Why must they scream on every ride? "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!" It's a BOOMERANG!!! You've been on it a million times, act like a respectable person in your 5 minutes of fame! No wonder people outside "the circle" think of enthusiasts as dorks.

And no, this isn't the lowest CB has gone. A certain thread from a short while ago starting with a "G" and ending in "?" definitely went as close as you can get to the bottom.

good looking or at least human looking riders would be great. also, if you have an odd scream: save it. like that idiot on the 30 in 24? show on disc. he was screaming like a girl for christ's sake! I didn't leave a dinner with my grandparents to hear that. oh and you can add Drew Carry (sp?) to the list of cleb enthusiasts.
