Florida theme parks said to be relatively resistant to economic trials and tribulations. Jeff remembers Orlando right after 9/11, amazed at how busy it is now. Gonch does the math.

The 49ers want to build a stadium next to Great America and cause what Cedar Fair calls a parking nightmare. Cedar Fair has a win-win situation, where if the 49ers and local officials want it bad enough, they'll pay dearly, otherwise the park can go about its business.

County assessor for Great America gets in on the action with a completely irrelevant opinion, and lacks common sense that tax assessed values have nothing to do with fair market values.

In all honesty. YES! And in fact it is the one at Morey's! It was already by far the smoothest one out there as it is and the fact that they want to make it even better with better restraints is great!

Parade during my meal?!? How will I choose?

The Magic Kingdom parade starts in Frontierland between Pirates and Splash Mountain. It goes along the "river" to Liberty Square, hangs a right by the Hall of Presidents, and goes through the "hub" to Main Street. Sometimes it does go the other direction, probably when it's the second performance of the same parade in a day.

Jeff, is there any chance they can push the meal back 20 or 30 minutes? That would be more than enough time.

Even if they can't, you should be able to watch the parade by Pagoda and still get to Coral Courtyard with time to eat still.

I talked to Tony last night, and he says he's pretty sure the parade starts from the Gemini end on Saturdays. He suggested then that you catch parade, circa Magnum, head out the resort gate and out to the Corral Courtyard. You'll likely arrive 20 minutes in.

That sounds like a plan.

Same here. I'm glad to get to see the parade.

I know this has been discussed to death. But I felt like I need to defend the Niners regarding the stadium by Great America. The Niners currently have one of the oldest stadiums in the league. San Francisco is trying to get them to build a new stadium at Hunter's point, which is a super fund hazardous waste site. So now you can see why they are looking at Santa Clara.

I do see Cedar Fair's point about the parking issue. From what I understand the stadium will be built in the current Great America parking lot. With the Santa Clara convention center across the street I will imagine that a larger parking garage will be built.

I just don't want to see Great America close. Cedar Fair has done a great job this year (I'd never seen the park cleaner).

Hey, SeaWorld San Diego is built on waste too. Shamu doesn't mind. :)
