198? - Belongs to my mate. Has that famous photo of the Beast, PKI cresting the lift - longest in world 1.4 miles.
1985 - (Haven't got it, but has an excellent photo of Fujikyu Highlands' insane Moonsault Scramble - tallest in world 75m/246ft!)
1989 - P111, named 'switchbacks.' Fastest - American Eagle 66mph. P183, endurance record - 503hrs, min. qualif. av. speed 25mph.
1991 - P93, excellent photo of Magnum XL200 - highest vertical drop at 192ft, 70mph, opened early '89, cost $8 million, CP has 9 coasters - most in world. Largest Looping - Viper, SFMM, 140ft.
1994 - P99/100, photo of 328ft Ferris Wheel in Japan. Oldest operating - 1914, Scenic Railway, Tivoli Gardens, Denmark. Longest - Ultimate, Lightwater Valley, 1.42 miles. Greatest drop & fastest - Steel Phantom, 225ft, 80mph. Tallest 'above ground' - MS, 63m/207ft (Huh?), due to be overtaken by Pepsi Max, 235ft. CP - 10 coasters.
1995 - P92/3, photo of Scenic Railway, oldest in UK, 1920. Two photos of the Ultimate, one of twin lift hills & other of negiotating terrain. Greatest drop & fastest - tied, Desperado. CP - 11 coasters.
1996 - P92/3, twin-page diagram of Desperado, SP & Pepsi Max. Tallest complete-circuit - Desperado 209ft. Pepsi Max's actual lift height is 201.2ft & drop 205.1ft. Most inversions - Dragon Khan, 8.
1997 - P164/5, photo of the Corkscrew, CP. Tallest/fastest - STE 415ft, 100mph. Tallest cc - Fujiyama, 259ft, 235ft lift & 230ft drop.
1998 - P177. CP - 12 coasters.
1999 - P184/5, photos of wedding on Montu, Stratosphere Tower with High Roller on it - highest ride 1149ft & excellent photo of Oblivion dropping - first vertical drop ride at 87.5 degs. Fastest Stand-Up - Riddler's Revenge 65mph. Most airtime - STE 6.5 secs. Most inversions - tied, Monte Mayaka. Largest portable - Taz's Texas Tornado.
2000 - P134/5, photo of RRV with the Riddler riding it. Tallest freefall coaster - The Drop Zone, PKI, 262ft drop & 317ft tall (Huh?). Tallest thrill ride - The Giant Drop, Dreamworld, 390ft, 84mph. CP - 13 coasters. Two separate records for STE - fastest coaster & fastest launched coaster.
2001 - P86/7, photo of Vekoma/Arrow coaster with two corkscrews at oldest operating park, 1553, Bakken in Denmark. Most coasters in 24 hrs - 29 by UK team. CP has most rides - 67, misspelled name; 'Woodcock Express!' USA 427 coasters, UK 114 & Japan 66. Tallest gravity-based - MF.
