Cant they get anyone hotter to do these shows?
I know i may be asking for much. But does it really cost that much to get Anna Kornakova to do the on rides pov on the Thrills Chills and Spills special. I dont want to see any over weighbt guys and gals. I want Jenifer Aniston, Mariah Carey, Destineys Child, and even My friends mom, shes hot.

The "stars" of coaster shows are the rides, not the people on them. Why bother watching a coaster show just to see some celebrity? You can see them all over the place anyway. These are specialty shows for a targeted audience, and they cater to that audience. I'd rather see and LISTEN to someone that is knowledgeable about rides/enthusiast groups than have someone on the screen that's there for looks alone.
Now, if there are celebrities who honestly are coaster buffs, not just doing it for the $$$ or fame or whatever, I'd not have a problem with that, so long as it is honest and not "look at how good I look draped across this lap bar..." Sheesh.

CKat: I heard ya, but some of the people they get for these shows sound like utter idiots. That's actually one of the things that has made me leery of the "coaster community". While all the people I've met in the flesh (save one or two) most seem level headed and well rounded. However, on some of the shows Discovery had last year, the people talking sounded (to me and perhaps to me only) like great big dorks. I wont call any names out on here, but there are two in particular that I wished would have taken Chris Jericho's advice and just "Shut the Hell Up!" If given the choice between a moronic sounding expert and eye candy, I'll take the eye candy.

I think I would have to agree with 2Hostyl about some of the people on those shows last year. As far as MY idea of "eye candy" however...I say Mike Piazza. I'd ride THAT ride ;)
