Train Missing on American Eagle (sfgam)

Has anyone noticed that the blue train for the American Eagle is missing. I was there on Friday May 25, and I saw one train in the station, but the 2nd one was not on the braking section, or on the transfer track.

I've been there 3 times this year already. I didn't notice that the train was gone, but for sure the blue side has not been running any time I have been there this year.

We were there on Sunday and the blue track only had 1 train running and the second train was nowhere to be seen.

Didn't they take one train down to SFOT to test a 3 bench PTC on the texas giant. I thought I heard somthing about that. But that was a long time ago in the offseason. My guess is their still rebuilding it from the offseason maintance. Also does anyone know if they still have the third trains for each side in storage at SFGAM? I don't if this is right its just what I heard.

I have not heard that they took it down to SFOT, plus I believe that they would have it out of storage by now considering the park has been open about a month now. But it is official that the 2nd train on the blue side is missing right?

Coaster895: Yes, they took an American Eagle train down to Texas, but it was a red train, not blue.

I was thinking that they might have been modifying it so it could run backwards. But it is taking so long I doubt it is that. That would be cool, though.

Blue side was running memorial day.

First time poster, long time lurker, love the topic, love the web site! (Don't see that too often!)

Yeah, Sunday (May 27)the 2nd blue train was missing from the track. We were in line for the Eagle Blue when the train broke down on the lift hill.

From what I remember, there were two trains opening weekend. When we were there on Sunday, May 6th, one was right outside the station after the turn. I'm pretty sure there was one inside the station.

I can only assume he is! And what a ride too! All I hope is that they wise up and let off the helix brake a little. The Eagle flew like no other woodie in the 80's!!

Was at Coastermania and SFWoA. Yep, bigtime Viper fan.

American Eagle (red) flew in the morning like I haven't experienced for a long time! Didn't feel the main helix trims and the last helix trims' just barely felt. However, that changed for later in the day. The rain in the morning helped.

Any new info on the blue trains?

They are adding the second blue train this week and hopefully when we open the blue side Saturday it will be with 2 trains.

It was in the Ride shop being put back together. The park really never needed the second train on right away, since all we used is one side during the week and we opened the other side just on the weekend for over flow.
