Bell's clear to build new coaster

For five years now, Bell's Amusement Park and nearby neighbors have been at odds over where to build a multi-million dollar roller coaster. Now, that dispute is settled and the park gets to build its new ride.

I'm very pleased for the park. They had alot of storm damage earlier in the year and it can't be easy for small parks these days so to be held back by locals when they're trying to invest must be annoying.

Is this the next GG?

GG as in Gravity Group?

If so, doubt it, unless they switch from wood to steel.

Earlier articles mentioned that the coaster would be a wooden coaster on a steal frame. So maybe this could be another Gravity Group ride.

I know that Bell's was in discussions with Custom Coasters for the original design, so it would make sense that they continue with GG for the final design.

Bell's was supposed to have the wooden coaster that was like, 2/3-enclosed, right? Wonder how much those plans have been changed...

3 million? Seems as though most "state of the art" rides are more expensive than this. But to build one that only costs 3 million? Do they have some sort of financial deal, or will it just be a really small coaster?

Maybe this will be something comparable to IBs Cornball Express that came in around this price.

Also, you can get a pretty decent wood coaster for around the $3 million mark. Not so with steel, but wood? Yeah, that oughta get them a pretty decent mid sized woodie. (or hybrid).

Think of it this way. Voyage cost less than $7 million. Would you agree that half of a Voyage would still be a darned good ride?
