It's been rough for small to mid sized parks in New England. With a heavy saturation of parks and a retrenching economy something had to give. The land they sit on becomes more valuable than the park. Paragon,Mountain,Crescent and Lincoln Parks are but memories, along with many more smaller parks. The grand beach front resorts of Savin Rock,Revere Beach,Salisbury Beach, and Hampton Beach no longer attract huge throngs seeking to escape the summers heat. Only Old Orchard Beach hangs on by a slim thread. Times have changed, but not necessarily for the better.
