PKI to open Happy Days Diner with Mrs. Cunningham

Well, this is fitting. Not only did I never know that the previous cafe was themed to a movie, but now this falls in line with the grand PKI tradition of re-theming an existing attraction and calling it "new". Not that I am against the Happy Days theme, but it's not very newsworthy.

Still excited for Italian Job though.

Good heavens! Did someone at Paramount finally get smart? Nothing against the film "Tucker," it's a fine film... but why theme a restaurant after a film that was not a runaway hit when it came out, when you've got such popular properties as "Happy Days?"

My question is why call it the Happy Days Diner. Shouldn't it really be called Arnold's?

They probably aren't calling it Arnold's because people who aren't big fans of the show probably wouldn't recognize the association. Also it would save them from having to replicate the Arnold's set which if it didn't look like would surely cause much whining from those who are Happy Days fans. I may not be one of them but I still liked the show and think this sounds like a fun idea and give PKI kudos for its effort. Now I just wish I could actually go to Ohio to visit PKI but with my current college budget of $0 I don't see it happening soon. Oh well someday I will ride The Beast and on that day I will be very very happy.

Where's Ralph "Mouth" when you need him. Maybe they could get Fonzie to jump over a shark at the opening. That would rock ;-)

Is P.K.D. going to get one too? I read somewhere it was. Being from the "left" coast, Kings Island is FAR superior to Paramount's Great America out here!

You know what would be even better? If there was sill a Bisch-Rocco 10-tub Flying Scooter still next to it!

It is nice to see them using an existing structure in the re-theme.

I believe PKI jumped the shark on Tomb Raider! Though I like it as a ride, I think they took a big chance with the huge cost in theming the attraction.

I agree with Shivering Tim......it SHOULD be called "Arnold's". :-D

'Gator I've been only to PGA and PKI and none of the other Paramount parks, the basis for my comment. I'll take your word that PGA is the worst of the worst of all the parks in that chain. Not very many parks are spoken about badly. PGA always seems to come up in that group.
