I agree with Jeff....
Who says S&S need to add OTSR to a TA2K in order to traverse inversions? Look at the Hypersonic trains as they are now. They do a perfectly good job of holding you in, especially at the top of the tower, where it's needed most. The lapbars have, like, 3 different restraints to keep your legs in, and it's pretty tight from what I hear. The biggest question I would have about inversions on this type of ride is not about OTSRs but more about the track type. To me, it seems like the track may be too wide to do some types of inverts. Loops should be ok, but other twists may be difficult. Personally, I hope the next model of TA2K will be more of an out and back style, with lots of speed hills. The one in Japan looks like the one at PKD only with a larger layout and a possible helix. I'd rather have more hills.
Frankly, if CP (and I'm not going to dwell on CP) were to get a TA2K, I'm not sure where they could put it without using either the parking lot, or tearing out an attraction like DT. CP could do like PKD did and build over midways, but then I'd doubt they would have a 300 ft tall/100 mph ride, 150ft maybe, but not 300.
I'm just hoping PKI doesn't get one next year (not going to dwell on this either). I want my B&M hyper dreams to come true first.....
Oh well, aint speculation grand?
