Those have to be the most B&M-inspired OTSR's I've ever seen.

They're not that different from Intamin drop rides.

Not really... the part between the legs is significantly higher.

I noticed that too. It's very different from anything I've ever seen from Intamin. The big bucket seats had me thinking B&M too.

It looks like a great ride. I never really got too excited about it, but seeing in action yesterday blew me away. I've ridden Knott's La Revolucion which I liked, though was nothing teribly special, but The Claw looks likea much better ride.

I agree with SFNE Freak. Claw's reastraits, from at least the couple of pictures I looked at, look to be the same as the restraints on other Intamin rides such as PKI's Drop Zone.

If it is like the one at Hershey (and that seems to me to be a reasonable presumption), it should be a pretty fun ride. I found The Claw at Hershey to be more relaxing than anything, nowhere near the vomit machine it looked like from watching it.

prabe,

Hershey's has seats facing in where Dreamworld's has seats facing out like the Huss Giant Frisbee. I have ridden one Intamin Gyro Swing and thought it was incredible. There was a lot of airtime at the high points of the swings.

I haven't had a chance yet to ride a Huss Giant Frisbee, but I can see how changing the facing of the seats would make for a very different ride. A question--does it make it more or less of a vomit machine? It wouldn't make me less likely to ride it, but itr might make a difference as to how I would time my riding it if I were in a park thah had one.

prabe,

Out of all the times I have ridden the only Giant Frisbee in America (at PKI), only one time did I see someone not looking so good as they exited the ride. The rotation of the seats is not as fast as a standard Frisbee.

Fair enough. Thanks for the answer. If I can wangle my way to PKI (or any other park that may install such a thing for 2005) I'll definitely have to give it a spin. So to speak. Ahem.
