Coney Island Cyclone riders had a hair-raising experience Sunday when the world-famous roller coaster stopped dead in its tracks at the top of a hill after a woman's wig blew off and got caught in the wheels.

That is too funny. Those people will have a funny story to tell for awhile. Its nice to see a humorous story for a change instead of all the tragedies in recent months.

Someone's jacket got wrapped around the track on Magnum I think last weekend. It apparently slowed the train a little, but not enough to stop it.

See, if she went to Latisha's Hair salon in the Bronx, this would not have happened.

I heard this story on Howard Stern this morning. Both Robin and Howard both mentioned that they would have loved to have been there to seen it.

Isn't there a large sign in the loading station that says "NO WIGS!"? I remember laughing when I saw that sign as they must have had problems with wigs in the past if they put up that sign.

Similar things have happened before. I believe the Vekoma Boomerang (the name escapes me) at Wildwood was stopped in its tracks by a stuffed animal.several years ago.

One time Kenny Kangaroo got his tail stuck in the wheels under a Le Cachot car... that was an interesting one.

I have a photo that I took in the seventies of the Cyclone's structure that has a toupee hanging on the white beams. It looked like a bird's nest. This thing has definitely happened before.

Damnit, the Post stole my thunder...before even reading the article, I was going to call it a "hair-raising experience". Damn those journalists. Wonder why I've wanted to be one! ;)
