Silver Dollar City to lay off 60 in Branson area businesses

Silver Dollar City will lay off 60 people, about 4% of its workforce, at the park and some of its surrounding businesses, due to missed attendance goals at the park.
I hate to think how long it will take to buy a ticket now. I had to wait over 30 minutes to buy my tickets there this summer. Attendance seemed good when I was there, though that was of course a one day sample, and a 4% cut back isn't much unless you're the one cut.
I feel the park made a mistake in cutting Chef Zader. Hopefully the quality of food will not suffer too much. Bring back the 'Moose'!

They cut Chef Zader? I always thought he was one of the best chefs of mass-produced food in the country.
I agree Jim, hopefully the quality of food in SDC will not go down hill. It is one of the best.
