"The Waterfront" is modeled after the seaports of the United States. It is the biggest attraction to be built at Sea World in the last 30 years. It offer high-end dining with food that isn't your typical theme park food.

Seems to me this kind of project just makes sense. Disney and Universal have gone out of their way to try and keep you on their property after the park closes, so I think SeaWorld is trying to do the same. It's a fabulous park to begin with, why not keep people hanging around before they go back to I-Drive or Disney or whatever?

I agree that this is a logical move for SeaWorld. The park did need something to keep the crowds in once they visited all the exhibits and rode Kraken and JTA, and this fills the bill just perfectly.
