Coaster Dreams

What are your Amusement Park and/or Coaster Dreams?

Would it be spending the whole summer at your favorite park or on your favorite ride?

Designing and testing your own coaster?

Unlimited walk-on rides?

Having a coaster in your backyard?

My ideal coaster dream is to jump in my motorhome and hit every park in North America in one year or less. Using a map and a calendar, I would plan a schedule to hit every park during it's operating season. I'd travel on weekends to avoid the crowds and hit the parks during the week. My goal would be to ride every coaster and major thrill ride each park would have to offer. At least weekly I post updates and photos from my adventures on a website for the coaster community to enjoy. I would need to budget some time to go back to those parks which did not have all the coasters running the date of my initial visit.

Things preventing me from doing this:

1) Wife
2) Kids
3) Responsiblities of running a business
4) $$$

Perhaps when the kids are grown and I'm retired from my business, I will be able to do this but by then I'll probably be pretty old to enjoy all the thrill rides.

But we have to have dreams...........

Developing and running my own park. Every ride would be deigned by me. Not bought from companies!! That way no ohter park could have my design concepts!!!!!!

I have to agree with building my own park and designing rides (with the help of some engineers of course). Of course I would build this awesome park right here in sunny San Diego. We need a park here and I even have the perfect spot picked out. Id be able to have that 1000 ft drop with a coaster that has a height of 10ft. Woo Hoo. I'd also buy the Steel Phantom and Drachen Fire and put those in my park.

I would also like a coaster in my backyard but sadly it's not big enough.

One more thing would be to fix all the great rides that have been ruined in some way. Id start with removing the horse collars and brakes on Revolution.

My dream would be to design and create my own amusement park, including designing some of my own rides. My park would have all original coasters, no clones.

I'm with you Jim, I'd love to travel and ride every thrill ride in the US. Then I'd like to hit Europe and Japan. I'll ever have enough money to do this of course, but it's a great dream.

Well, if we are dreaming...
1. How about a world where trim breaks do not exist? How many more great coasters have to die a slow death due to these idiotic contraptions?

2. A hyper/giga class coaster with true inversions. Some people will already say that there already are looping hypers, but I don't think so. The Steel Phantom (R.I.P.) just happens to have a 200+ foot drop, but is it a hyper. Just imagine a Giovanola or Intamin hyper with a 200+ foot vertical loop, a 180 foot Immelmann (spelling) and a corkscrew with a 100 foot diameter!! (drool, drool) Maybe some day.

3. And as long as we are dreaming, how about a park lowering admission prices when signature rides are not running? (SOB hint, hint!) Talk about dreaming, that qualifies as a hallucination.
