Ambulance chasers, reporters, still question coaster safety

Well, simply put, we will always have idiots who attempt to sway the public with emotionalism and false facts. At any rate, as for people actually believing this bull, well, its a case of the "it-was-on-the-news-so-it-must-be-true" syndrome. And lawyers will say anything if they are paid enough, or if they think money will come from their statement. Especially ambulance-chasers.

Damn! This would be perfect for the persuasive paper I was going to write saying how roller coasters ARE safe. But really, how much does this guy really know? G-forces on roller coasters can be unpleasant, and when I say that I mean slightly uncomfortable, but that is normally the riders own fault. It is also the riders own fault that anything bad happens on any ride any time. Most of the time anyways.

This article is so dumb. The real issue is that if you put yourself on the ride, that is your fault, your desicion, that was in your control. And as statistics go, only 1 in every 500,000 people get slightly injured, and most of the time, it is the patron's fault. Sucking on a lolipop on a ride, come on...how dumb is she or her parents. Now remember that I do not appreciate death and I am sorry for her parents, but that totally was their fault. This whole thing about Superman, "yes, as soon as I get an idea in my head for a new coaster, I just do it. I don't test it. I don't care how safe it is!" What crap is that!? No roller coaster designer thinks like that. DUH! I mean why would we have shoulder harnesses on Lopping Coasters, why don't we just bolt down a chair, and hey, we don't need seatbelts we can just stand on the moving platform. They have no idea. (I am a very sarcastic person as you can tell) Although I doubt coasters will get much taller (mostly because they would be too expensive - look at TTD - 23 million for just a hill (I love TTD, and have been on it many times). The guy who sponsered the guy who wrote it or the guy who wrote it should go take a ride on Gravity Max. Talk about saftey. If he's worried they should just turn off the brakes and let the coaster go off the track. I absolutely hate people that are so ignorant like this one!

A reacurring theme that happened yesterday on our trip to CP seems to fit this quite well...

He somehow missed this part to, i just remember reading something that said only like 0.0025%, that's tiny, of people who were on roller coasters have to go to the emergency room for their injuries...

When are they going to quit using the excuse about astronauts and fighterpilots? I am really getting tired of hearing that. They don't mention that these people experience the G's for extended periods of time, whereas coasters only deliver them for fractions of a second. Makes a big difference, but they dont' bother to put that into the article. THE ARGUMENT ISN'T VALID SO FIND SOMETHING ELSE!!!
