CoasterBuzz.com will be down for a short period of time late Wednesday night as data is converted for the roll-out of the new site on its third birthday, Thursday. Test runs have run about a half-hour or less, but of course anything can happen.
In addition to the scheduled down time, the CoasterBuzz Club URL (http://club.coasterbuzz.com) will no longer be used. Club members will still get all of the ad-free browsing, as well as several new features, at the same URL used by non-members. The site will "know" about your club membership status.
Join us Thursday as CoasterBuzz turns three years old!
Actually, the first complaints will be from people upset that only club members can change the colors and such. ;)
If you can't wait...

Alllright... the new logo that I asked about is finally going to happen???
Oh no wait... same logo, new color scheme... **sigh**
Just kiddin' ;)
Looks like it'll be groovy. From the url, I like the one in the middle. Is that the cool blue?
If there's more features & no annoying pop-ups, it'll only make it more worth it to become a "CB Club" member now. My issue with that is that I'm just not in the general area, but man... at work, those ads are sooooo damn annoying, that it'll be worth the 20 beans alone just to stop my computer from messing up!!!
Anyway, I can't wait. I hope it exceeds expectations. I was kind of growing a lil' tired of this look.

My biggest issue wasn't the look, I just can't deal with the site whenever I have to do something with the code. I've not done anything in "classic" ASP now for more than a year, and compared to anything .Net it's like going back to the stone age of Web development (though in all fairness, we'd then be talking about Perl ;)).
In addition to the club-only stuff, there are minor tweaks here and there. The search is better, the forums finally go v6, you can associate multiple sites and parks with news items, sites can be associated with multiple parks, and there's one major change that may or may not make it in time for tomorrow night's release.

It'd be nice if you could incorporate more pictures associated with your news items, Jeff... just for a more visual presentation.
Although most pictures are copyright... not the fan-site ones... and it might add a little to it.
Just a suggestion. I noticed you do it once & awhile... you should do it more often when the link to the news article isn't for a national media site. (ie: Cleveland Plain Dealer, CNN... etc)
Congratulations...to Jeff, to his baby buzz, to the mods, and the members themselves...give 'em all a hand, would ya already?
GregLeg....*final switchover*...sounds funny when we're just looking at it for the FIRST time, and you guys have been looking at it for a while during *development stage*...
Now for SOME unbelievable reason, this little *tidbit* seems to have gone without comment....Vater said: "Jeff's turning 3? I tell ya, kids are getting started on computers younger and younger...". Now... I don't know where you get YOUR buzz, but where I get mine, I seem to recall someone recently mentioning infants visiting our website here.
Someone over there at one of those *photoshoppers malls* needs to find us a pic of an infants surfing the buzz.....pretty please...:) I'll even promise to be good from now on.....who am I kidding, you guys know I'll NEVER change....;)

Yeah, I can add color schemes until I'm blue in the face. I want to make sure everything is working well before I do it. Not only that, but I've got about two weeks to write some ad serving software so I can serve a campaign I sold to a major client.
