Hypersonic lines are crazy!

I went to PKD and I waited 3 1/2 hours to get on it. It was really good though!

How many trains were running? When I was there (2nd day) there was only one, but the wait was about an hour thanks to light crowds.

Did you get the back seat?

What did you expect? They already knew it wasnt going to have that good of capacity. Oh, How many trains can they run on H-XLC?

If I remember, there are 6 trains, with a possible 5 running for a potential capacity of 1100pph. (It ain't there yet!)

Opening weekend I saw 2 on the transfer, one sitting on the ground near Grizzly, and one on the circuit.

I hope the production models have higher capacity trains to shorten the wait. I can't wait to see the one at Fujikyu Highlands!

The launch is the most intense thing ever built. I used to like Hulk's 1 G launch. Hypersonic's launch is a 4G launch according to their specs. That's over twice the acceleration of any other coaster! I hope everyone gets the chance to experience it. S:UE, Volcano, anything built Premier, they all feel like kiddie launches in comparison. I never thought I'd feel those were tame launches, but now they sure seem that way!

There are only FOUR trains for the coaster. All are onsite and my last visit there (over a month ago, on Good Friday) they had two on the circuit. Adding ONE extra *might* help with capacity, but having thr fourth on would help at all due to the blocking scheme. One day I'll make it back down there, but with S:ROS closer, I just havent been motivated to make the drive..

They've got some real problems with this ride. The design capacity is low and due to technical problems, they haven't gotten anywhere near the design capacity. Unfortunately, the basic concept of the the ride with the very sharp crest on the main hill limits the length of the trains. Make the train long and the ends will have too many negative G's.

As near as I can tell the only way that you will ever get high capacity on this type of ride is to build twin coasters. Problem is any park would have been very nervous about spending the money to build two coasters of a completely new design.

Well, when I usually go there, its about HALF the wait that the say. I rode it and they said 2 1/2 wait...its was little more than an Hour.

That is just a heads up, but to me, ANY WAIT IS WORTH IT!

That would be awesome if the built antother Hypersonic to be a twin! SFMM was brave when they built 2 S:TE's. Too bad only one is used alot.

Don't count S&S out yet. Remember this is the first design of the coaster. I mean look at Cedar Point, they had 2 trains and 3 later on, and a large circuit and the line for it was 4 hours long. And it wasn't just the crowd, the line moved S...L...O...W. Their will be other designs
