Does anyone actually buy single-day admissions though?

Folks in town on business do. I've been to Orlando more than once for a conference, either with a half day to kill or a strong desire to skip out on an afternoon. In such situations, a quick Mickey is just the ticket (so to speak.) Since these trips are infrequent, and nearly the only time I ever visit the evil entertainment empire, I end up buying 1-day/1-park ducats.
I haven't been down there since IOA went up, so I'll probably go there next time, instead.
I always believed that when the admission of parks hit the $50 mark, it's all downhill from there. I really don't think people will be willing to dish out a whopping 50 bucks or more. If other area parks follow up and raise thier price like usuial, I believe that the industry will see a slow decrease in in attendance.
Just my opinion.

The Universal Parking has become quite a joke locally because of the "people movers" rarely working. Trust me on this, I would ride a tram any day than walk as far as you have to at Universal to the gates. Let's not forget, they are charging MORE for less! If they've cut out the expense of drivers and vehicles, doesn't it make you wonder how they can charge more? I'll stick with the trams.
